October is Mental Health Month!

At Advanced Myotherapy, we’re passionate about Mental health & Stress Management! So, we thought we’d share a little update to encourage those who may at times feel stress related pain, which we know can sometimes cause physical ailments from headaches to stomach knots and more.

Our aim at the clinics lies in helping our clients overcome stress, by looking at and identifying sources and triggers, in order to work at preventing them at their roots. This week we look at what needs to be cut off, detached from and eliminated from our lives, in order to prevent having to deal with anything crop up at a time when we are not prepared.

We look at what it is that we can do now, in order to save our later selves from stress building up. What does that look like for you in your own life? Might it be restriction in some form today, so that at a later point, we can experience freedom? Could this mean some form of sacrifice now, that saves us from pain later? This can be anything from, putting in the effort now, to have results in time.

This is what we look at in Myotherapy too! How can we ensure that later, our body doesn’t lock up, stiffen and become rigid, through a lack of forethought and care now? Myotherapy and Remedial Massage looks at what we can do in order to maintain our physical body, that is meant for movement, in order to keep mobile.

That’s what we do on a very holistic level, and it’s what inspires us. Being able to help clients identify specific, individualised ways that apply to their unique life, that can be implemented to prevent problems, pain, dysfunction and eventual deterioration, that we so often see at our clinics!
